hmm. not going to dwell on the negatives of this week. after all, as one of my favourite quotes states:
Always forget to remember the things that made you sad, but never forget to remember the things that made you glad - Elbert Hubbard
and there were some things tt made me glad. like going out with Farhanah for dinner at west mall on mon. also muchos thanks!!! for lending me the money to buy the girls generation 2011 calendar =DDD cu on tuesday!!!
also thx to the regulars at mindef who know how not to abuse their authority. chatted with ME4 Justin on fri when leaving mindef. yea got some more insights into the lifestyle and atmosphere at NTU, since he studies engineering there. he also said that english is quite relaxed, and i certainly hope so...
today: busy day yea? yea. initially planned to study with Leen, but didnt feel like going kap yet again. so decided to try borders, but the cafe and the seats inside borders all taken up. then the library in ngee ann city mysteriously disappeared o.0 although the last time i went there was in 2006, so yea... and den decided to try the first floor of 313, where there are seats for ppl to laze around, but it was being used for some world cup thingy!!! shit manzzz. yea so ended up all shopping, no studying ~.- it started like this: 190ed down to pacific plaza. went to that cd shop to try and find some 80s compilation disc i saw on tv, but couldnt find it =/ so went to borders, looked at the books, den went to kino, looked at more books, den walked down to 313, went to hmv, but there wasnt any Joker t-shirt, couldnt find the dvd for Downfall which features the last 10 days of Hitler's life (although the film was in german, so maybe tts y they didnt have it), den couldnt find the 80s cd in hmv as well, den went next door to harris, where i decided to nab a Star Wars book. at least one purchase to show for my efforts right?
den 190ed back to cck, before 172-ing to boon lay to meet Christella at jurong point for dinner. yea had fish and co, before trying to find the bloody atm machine -.- the bad thing about having such a big shopping centre
den trained back to cck to catch more World Cup action!!! yea uruguay rock
another big m atch tmr: England vs Germany!!! not sure who im supporting, because i detest them both...

fun week

mon - fri: office work at mindef! mmhmm . also lucky that Zhenwei got posted to AID haha. now i have a fellow Star Wars fan to discuss the Force with ^^ after all, Darth Vader is our father
thu - celebrated brena's birthday with her and christella at sakura buffet at keat hong. yea i ate way too much...felt like puking at one point. not because the food sucks, mind you. the food rocked. but like i said, ate too much. anyway happy birthday brena!
every night - world cup fever! although the first round of group stage matches were uber boring (i was nodding off during most of them) the second round has been much more entertaining^^ plus SPAIN LOST!!! GERMANY LOST!!! FRANCE LOST!!! AND ENGLAND SUCK!!! BRAZIL SUCK!!! ITALY SUCK!!! MWAHAHAHAHA take that you slimy bastards!!! all resting on past laurels. hope all of you fail to make it past the group stages!!! on the other end: HOLLAND, PORTUGAL AND ARGENTINA FTW!!! hope to see at least one of those three teams in the final
also nabbed Microsoft Office 2010 today. yea 2007 and 2008 was so stone age mannnnzzzzz

interesting week
mon-thu: yea as mentioned previously, had some aop course at aftc, which is beside air force museum, which is beside paya lebar air base. so from mon to fri i woke up at 5, chionged to cck mrt station by 5.50, took the 5.55 train, reached eunos around 6.40 and took 94 all the way to reach at 7.15, since we had to report at 7.30. although i had different methods of going home each day: for mon, it was the exact reverse. for tues, me took 94 back to eunos mrt, den took train to paya lebar, switched to circle line, took train to bishan and switched to north-south line to head all the way back to cck. for wed and thu, moi took 94 to in front of mdis before taking 67 alllllllllllllll the way back from eunos to cck. yep 1.5 hours sitting down in ze bus. AND: taking train frm eunos to cck for less than an hour costs about $1.70, factoring in the 50 cent rebate. taking 67 from eunos to cck for 1.5 hours costs $1, factoring in the 50 cent rebate. all of which proves once and for all that BUS IS MUCH BETTER THAN TRAIN. END OF STORY.
yea so had lectures, lectures and more lectures. damn sian, esp those lecturers with monotones and no personalities. lucky our encik and course commander know how to interact. plus it was fun getting to noe more of the mindef guys ^^ and of course: free lunch!!! woohoo. but all said and done, i still prefer mindef. not just because of the (much) wider variety of food, but also that i can wake up at 6.15 ^^^^
fri - went to aftc as usual, but left at ard 10.40 due to aid family day. yea took 90 to toa payoh, before training back to cck. headed to bottle tree park at sembawang at 1.30. ho hum. den left at 5, headed to queensway to nab the Real Madrid 2010/11 home jersey. stylo man. aft tt went back home before heading to lot 1 macs to tapao burger. and as i was enjoying my beautiful mcspicy, mr Heng Jianning called me! to go gym! finally get to go gymming again after two months (although i do work out at home). headed to cck gym at 9, did the usual stuff till 10. and i freaking lost weight!!! from 47 kg to 45!!! wth?!?! i mean, i frigging ate burger and fries, and drank coke!!! what do you mean i lost weight?!?!?! although it probably shows how good my metabolism rate is
also swapped plenty of army stories hahazzzz. about life in the tekong wilderness, as well as life in the mindef building. absolute contrast. reached home at 10.30 (yea i missed the World Cup opening ceremony. but seriously, there are several things in life more important than football (never thought i would ever say tt), and those things include family and friends. if i had to choose between watching the team i support on tv, or going out with a bunch of me good friends, one million times out of one million id pick the latter. yea lucky JN's gonna POP soon, so can finally play football again!!! woots
yea so watched the rest of South Africa vs Mexico. apparently the first half sucked, but the second half was brilliant. great prelude for the tournament. and im sure as hell going to take leave on 12 july because of the World Cup Final at 2.30 am. lucky im working and not studying, cos u cant take leave if you're a student =D
and finally: I NEED TO WATCH TOY STORY 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okthxbye

fluctuating, erratic week
last sat - watched Millwall vs Swindon! yea. the lower leagues have some good football on show. plus they played better than some of the crap premier league sides like those losers hull
last sun - church. yeah
mon-fri - interesting week at mindef. yea hanging out with those aod guys is fun ^^ so now i have 3 fellow NSFs from aid and aod to accompany me for the next 22.5 months. heres to 18 april 2012!
sat - went out with Leen ytd. yea 67-ed and 77-ed down to marina square, before walking all the way (again) to suntec to nab some stuff from carrefour. after tt 190-ed bck to cck to nab earphones from lot 1, since practically all of the earphones at suntec are those in-ear ones, which feel effing uncomfortable. i mean, you're supposed to be a earphone, not a cotton bud -.-
and Yingqi, i wouldnt mind if u buy tt for moi ;)
haiz have stupid course at aftc at paya lebar for the whole of next week. bugger make me wake up at 5am everyday -.- den have to cram with all the ppl on the east-bound train -____________- and i am NOT going to cut my hair for this stupid course. as though its very long like tt -_____________________________- if get extra den get extra lo. SCARED XPPPP
and five more days to the World Cup!!! wooooots
