nice week
fri - Christmas midnight mass! yea. happy 2009th birthday Jesus! ^^ den aft tt nabbed some noodles before kipping at ard 3am+
woke up ard 11+ before heading to me cuz's house. yea ate laksa, before trying to find out when the A level results would be released on Nick's laptop. unsuccessful, however
sat - slacked ard most of the day. had pizza hut takeaway for dinner. also nabbed The Lovely Bones frm unpopular. looks an interesting read: the intro was addictive. den watched football (as usual)
sun - mass, before going to Kenny's crib. hmm most beers taste the same eh. Tiger (the beer, not the unfaithful sexmaniac), Carlsberg and Heineken. or maybe my tastebuds are not that refined yet when it comes to lager. den tried (unsuccessfully) to have an afternoon nap, before the chrimbo party at me house. yea thx Leen, YQ and Jacko! played taiti, bridge, hearts, blackjack and uno. woots. den watched the singapore idiot finale. i say "idiot" because that's what the eventual winner was: an idiot. at least its still better than tt humpty dumpty duane though. den watched Man Utd beat hull (eventually) frm 12-2, before eating somemore and using com! so yea i slept around 4am. nice
mon - didnt go gym, but did go for football at 2.30. yea quite fun to play with those older guys. plus they were amusing ha. Ronaldo also managed to score, but Fabregas was man of the match! woots. den aft tt played basketball till about 7.30 before going home to watch more football. ah i love the festive season
tue - gym in the morning, although i felt nauseous halfway. must have been the crap chicken pie i had for breakfast. disgusting piece of excuse for food. den aft tt met the other t at causeway point for lunch before heading to republic poly to do maths with her and her friend. den their library clsoed at 5.30, so went to civic centre's maccy d to continue. 9 hour maths marathon!!! yea. also thx to Tricia for the hairbands! ^^ btw, wads u friends name ar? =x i only noe Hui something. den nabbed beef noodles for supper before embarking on a download spree at night. so thats about 6 new songs in me iPod
wed - rainy weather. it was pouring when i went to lot 1 to nab lunch, and the instant i reached the ngee ann city wannabe, the rain stopped. no way i could have seen
that coming, not in a million years. so yea. im here now, waiting for 4 am (in less than 12 hours) for Man Utd vs wigan
also hoping that me admin internship application will be successful. 3rd time lucky? although i think my resume is crap
finally, to end off the year, here's me top songs for 2009. this year, i didnt bother to look out for any new songs. those songs listed below were a result of randomly hearing them on the radio, randomly clicking video links on youtube, seeing them on mtv, hearing them on someone else's music list or being recommended. so enjoy (alphabetical order by artist's name)

great week
fri - gym, football. kinda pissed for many reasons. but whatever
sat - slacked the whole day before watching football. damn sad. Man Utd and Werder Bremen(on sun) both lost. but at least Real Madrid won. so not so bad heh
sun - another slack day. hmmm
mon - resumed gym. yea need to increase the number of reps ald. cos my muscles are getting used to the workouts. aft tt lunched at lot 1 with mr Heng. the beef hor fun rocks man. den went footballing. much better than friday. although i wish i could ram that arrogant fucker's face
tue - went for 4/8 class chalet! yea took the train all the way to tampines and then 29ed all the way to aloha changi. munched at changi village before heading to the beach to play captainball and frisbee. thanks to the immensely strong wind, frisbee was not as fun as it could have been hmm hmm. den had dinner at changi village again before playing some prediction game of Mark's at the chalet. me was debating whether or not to stay, cos the owner of this blog initially planned to leave on tue night. but then Jianning cmi for gym on wed, so decided to stay! yea so its me, Marky, Jackie, Doni, Hildy and Hesty. played cards and pictionary. the latter rocks man, especially with all the crazy words and phrases we came up with, aft tt had some super intense religious debate among ourselves. epic. Albin and Yvonne also came from 3am to 5am. pro eh. yea so we went to bed at around 5am, before...to be continued
wed - ...waking up between 8.30-9. slacked awhile and packed before leaving at 11. yea so bussed and trained back to cck. nice. den slept for like 4 hours to catch up on me sleep. and dont worry Xueyi, you'll always have me! =D
thu - initially planned to go gym with JN, but the weather, as well as our schedules due to Christmas, meant it was off. so we'll resume next week. hopefully my muscles wont get too flabby. also gt Christmas midnight mass! yea. plus the usual Chrimbo visiting over the next few days
sun - party at me house! hopefully those ive asked can make it. plus heres hoping for the first ever female Singapore Idiot i mean Idol!!! if its a malay male winner for the 3rd competition in a row im going to burn their studios down

fit week
sun - went church, before lunching with my fave priest! went to some fancy italian restaurant near the city centre. the bread is HEAVENLY. and the pasta and beef is DELICIOUS. and the dessert was SUMPTIOUS. damn ive been eating too much non-fancy food. but anyway i still prefer fast food and hawker centre food. they cost like 10 to 15 times less and i am at liberty to gobble it down in an informal manner
den napped in e afternoon before watching arsenal vs loserpool at midnight. loserpool lost!!! niceeeeeeee
mon - the start of our gym regime! yea met Jianning and Norris at cck gym. gt ourselves acquainted with the machines and maximum sets our bodies could do. den aft tt went to the running track for fartlek. damn i need to improve my sprinting. yea den went to limbang fc (food court, not football club) for lunch with JN and YS before walking all e way back to JN's house. den played football all the way frm 1330 to 1700. pro eh. the best thing is tt some of us (me included) played without our shirts under the blazing hot sun. so as u can imagine, my beautiful skin was redder than a tomato tt night, which meant i had to borrow me mother's lotion as well as dump prickly heat over myself. someone remind me to bring sunblock next time pls
tue - more gym! managed to finish it faster this time, cos we ald knew wat to do. den went down to e running track to run 2.4km own time own target. managed to finish it in abt 15-16 minutes. not bad, considering the only running ive done since retaking napfa in early august was during football. nabbed lunch at cck 302 before snoozing my ass off before dinner before applying more lotion and powder
wed - decided to take a break frm gymming. Christella came over to relieve me of some chem and econs notes, before heading to limbang park at night to play football with the usual arts class guys. at least managed to score a goal...
thu - went gym despite the rain pouring down. see i so committed. although the sad part came during running. during the 3rd round, my left calf suddenly cramped. so there i am shuffling to try and complete at least 1.6km. and that took more than 10 mins!!! more than 10 mins to run 4 rounds = 1.6km!!! wtf?!?! seriously need to up the ante already, or i can forget about passing standard obstacle course. also saw quite a few pj ppl at the gym. expected, since most of em are going to be playing with rifles next yr
fri - more gym and football tmr! hopefully its nowhere near as hot as mon
and paramore coming to singapore in march!!! feel like going. btw Tricia if ur reading, and if ur going, i treat u to tickets =DDD nah i nt so rich
which links to the next point: my job application(s) had better be accepted...or im going to stone for at least six months next yr thx to tt inefficient army

interesting week
tue - edit: sia come quello. mantenha a verdade de mim. bazi arkadaslar sen olur. glem det. ja nie potrzebuja, nagon som skruvad som ni V mem zivote. anyway went down to tiong bahru plaza before heading to bugis junction to walk walk. damn shld have brought more dosh so tt i can nab the Joker tees. den had dinner at bj - the carbonara rocks man - before training home
wed - woke up, checked my email on my lovely BlackBerry, and received one of the biggest disappointments of my life so far. ah well. it may have been failure in this instance, but success is the accomplishment of recovering frm setbacks, innit? so yea. took almost the whole day to get over it. but i eventually did...i think...
thu - wtf happened? yours truly is probably suffering from sstm (selectively short term memory)
fri - football at Jianning's house! slightly more fun this time, cos there were more ppl. and a stark reminder: im never playing with those fucking ****** again, and similar ppl. of course, not all of them are bad. i have many good ***** friends. its just this group of wankers who think they own the fucking world. skinless bastards
yea me Dad is going off to hamburg! maybe i shld get him to get the Hamburger SV jersey heehee
and me cant wait to get started gymming! deproving from 4 pullups to 1 is extremely disheartening. hopefully the gym will help me achieve these napfa standards:
1) pullups - at least 6
2) situps - at least 50 in a minute
3) sit and reach - 50 cm
4) shuttle run - 9.5 seconds
5) standing broad jump - 250 cm
6) 2.4km - 10 mins
yea the last one defo needs a load of training. i mean, my napfa was only 12 min 45 sec! pass by 5 seconds! but if moi can improve from 0 pullups to 4 in less than 2 months, impossible is nothing

A silent, melancholic walk through a memorium for the living dead. Though their souls perished long ago, their cries still lingered in the air, never truly at peace, never truly free from the sufferings they endured.
The stark realities of what occurred in those places stain the hospitable facade it gave on first impressions. A torture chamber masked within the pretext of labour and work, a death bed awaiting those who dared to dream, dared to be different, dared to carve out a proper life for themselves.
The pictures leave indelible scars. Like the buildings, they were masterfully crafted, works of art. On closer inspection, the watercolour reveals the horror and the inhumanities of so-called "humans". Once again, a horrendous and despicable truth juxtaposed within soothing, calming demeanours.
Every human life is sacred. This quote has been repeated oft enough for it to become routine. And for you, it is a joke. An irony. Because your life was used to vanquish others'. Senselessly, one might add. Cold-blooded murder does not establish respect, command or authority. It just reveals the heartless son of a bitch you are.
Will justice be done? Ever? With such a corrupt system? Legality issues are a fraud. A toddler could come up with a better case than your "best" lawyers. Perhaps you'll meet your comeuppance in the afterlife. Before that though, no one is holding their breath.
Rest in peace. To the ones who remained defiant till the very end, who soldiered on despite the many beatings inflicted on them, who never lost hope in or gave up on their principles and values. Who deserved so much more that what life offered them.
Today the buildings stand as a reminder of what was, the atrocities that not even Satan would dream of. Or maybe he would have. Regardless, it has its place in history, albeit a dark one, a significant notice to future generations of what should never be.
Will there be more dictators in the future? Perhaps. Maybe two centuries from now. Maybe when pigs fly with jet-propelled hooves. Maybe during the Fifth World War.
But that's for another generation to worry about. All that this generation has to worry about now is the 2012 doomsday predictions. Whose absurdity we'll all laugh about when we celebrate New Year's Day 2013
Ha ha. Ha. That was for you, you swine.

busy week
tue - nth. slacked at home to recharge my Nickel-Cadmium battery. This is done by reversing the flow of the current through the used electrochemical cell, thus causing oxidation to occur at the Nickel cathode and reduction at the Cadmium anode, converting the Nickel (II) Hydroxide back to Nickel (III) Oxide-Hydroxide and Cadmium (II) Hydroxide being converted back into Cadmium metal, such that the battery is ready to be used almost as if it were new again. The net reaction is as follows (for the forward reaction, which has a potential difference of approximately 1.2V):
2NiO(OH) + Cd + 2H2O -->> 2Ni(OH)2 + Cd(OH)2
and now you're that bit more knowledgeable about rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries.
wed - hmm. forgot what happened. dammit. although i know that i went out. nvm. i'll post it when - or if - i remember
thu - football with the 4/8 guys! yea played in the rain at cck stadium. after tt went to lot 1 and nabbed the black pepper chicken at kfc. super spicy man. worse than mcspicy. but still enjoyable
fri - football with the s25 ppl! plus others. went to Jianning's house, and then there was thunder and lightning. damn. anyway the rain subsided, so came out to play again with some idiots, esp their goalkeeper, whos just a fat bastard
sat - went pool-ing with Leen at beauty world. hmmm 2 people a bit sian. need at least 3 next time. den went back home before meeting Christella at lot 1 for dinner at short john bronze before watching Mulan! much better than the prissy disney version. disney's always screwing up classics like these just so they will appeal to young kids. as if screwing pinocchio, snow white, aladdin and mulan weren't enough. sissies. anyway vicki zhao rocks man ^^^^ jaycee chan also damn funny. den went home to watch Man Utd thrash west pork i mean west ham!!! cheers
sun - nth. it's a day of rest, as decreed by the one up there
mon - just gt back frm pjc-metro sif cip @ compass point. yea so i took the north-south line frm cck to bishan, the circle line frm bishan to serangoon, and the north-east line from serangoon to sengkang! nice. first time riding the circle line. also thx Nazeerah! for making those 5++ hours fun and enjoyable instead of a sian-fest ^^
going to watch Howl's Moving Castle and Dead Man Walking ltr. buh-bye

part 2 of 2
Day 4: fri - yea. last day at the orphanage. bittersweet really. played with the kids again, watched some ppl get funky (lol) and den had the finale. after tt we went photo crazy with the kids. if its like tt for us, i wonder how its like for them? hmm. gonna miss them loads. den had dinner at some restaurant before proceeding back to the hotel
Day 5: sat - r&r day! first went to the genocide museum. quite disgusting and gruesome really, what the khmer rouge did to all the prisoners. just as bad - or worst - than the nazis? tts for historians to figure out. but their reign was 3 years compared to the nazis' six or seven. ponder. den went to a russian market to shop! yea nabbed 6 shirts and a pair of sunglasses. plus we all became well versed in the art of bargaining heh. den had buffet lunch before heading to the royal palace. den had a cruise along the mekong river. the sunset rocks man. with the myriad of colours (once again, pics on fb). den had a party back at the hotel, before watching Man Utd thrash portsnose 4-1! woots
Day 6 - sun: left early to catch the 10.15 flight (11.15 singapore time) back to the lion city. the lunch rocks man. the beef is as good as any ive tasted. reached singapore at ard 1.10. thx Leen for coming all the way to changi =))) den went back with me parents and her before unpacking all tt stuff. ah. den went to farmart for dinner. and im sick of western food now.
mon - yea. first full day back in this little red dot of ours. slacked in the afternoon before meeting s13 at lot 1 for dinner and 927-ed to night safari. quite cool seeing some of the animals. the small bats and otters damn cute xoxo heehee. den 927-ed back
hm. the Cambodia trip seemed a little short, especially after only three days at the orphanage. still, it was joy, seeing the smiles and delight on the children's faces. if anything can do that to them it's priceless. as well as knowing that you have the capacity to help those who are not as fortunate as you, and knowing that you have done it and have been able to contribute in any way you can, regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem.
