slightly long post...about a certain someone's favourite subject, football (what else)?
the weekend wasn't good in terms of football...first SAFFC lost to freaking tampines
den in the Premiership, Man Utd drew 1-1 with Mee Rebusthe silver lining: Chelsea were held 0-0 at Newcastle, meaning Man Utd still lead Chelski by 3 pts with 4 games to go...hopefully Arsenal can beat Chelseameanwhile at the other end, Watford will be playing Championship football come August...hard to predict who will join them, 5C2 from Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United, West Ham United, Fulham and Wigan Athleticfor the Championship, Birmingham, Sunderland and Derby are battling for automatic promotion...West Brom, Preston, Wolverhampton and Southampton all in contention for the playoffs, with Colchester, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday also having a shot at the top sixat the bottom, Luton are getting ready for League One football next season, with Southend likely to join them...while Leeds and Hull battle to avoid relegationLeague One: Scunthorpe are 99% champions, while Bristol City need one more win to ensure automatic promotion...N Forest, Yeovil, Blackpool, Oldham, Swansea and Carlisle also look to claim places in the playoff spotsat the other end, Brentford, Rotherham and Chesterfield are heading downwards to League Two, while Bradford have an outside chance of surviving...if they do, most likely Cheltenham will be going down instead, although Bournemouth and Leyton Orient need to avoid defeat to ensure League Two survivalLeague Two: if Hartlepool avoid any slip ups, they will be champions, but whatever the outcome, they are already guaranteed automatic promotion, along with Walsall and Swindon...while MK Dons, Lincoln, Shrewsbury and Stockport are sitting comfortably in the playoff positions, although Peterborough and Bristol Rovers have a chance of breaking insideand at the bottom, Torquay were relegated a long time ago, although Boston, Wrexham, Macclesfield, Accrington and Bury are not out of the red yet...either one of them could join Torquay in the 2007/08 ConferenceConference: With Dagenham & Redbridge being crowned champions, it's between six teams in the playoffs: Oxford, Morecambe, York, Exeter, Burton Albion and Gravesend to see who gets into League Twoat the bottom, St Albans have been relegated, with Southport set to join them, while Tamworth, Halifax, Grays Athletic and Altrincham battle to avoid the wooden spoonConference North: Droylsden have won the title, with Kettering, Workington, Hinckley, Farnsley Celtic, Harrogate and Blyth all with a chance of coming through the playoffsLancaster City, with no points after going into administration, head downwards, while Scarborough and Worksop are also in danger of being relegatedConference South: Histon have won the league convincingly, with Salisbury, Havant & Waterlooville, Braintree, Bishops Stortford and Welling sitting in the playoff spotsat the other end, Bedford and Weston-S-Mare have been relegated, with either one of Thurrock, Hayes and Basingstoke set to join themand that's it for Football Focus, Tiger First Edition, LockerRoom, Football Crazy whatever

Scunthorpe United owning League One, set to be joined in the Championship by Bristol City/Nottingham Forest and Yeovil Town...Rotherham United and Brentford are heading for League Two
Hartlepool (with both feet) and Walsall (with one foot) in League One, Swindon Town and Milton Keynes Dons looking to join them...Torquay are almost certain of Conference football in 2007/08
